Shaping our Christmas Thanking CampaignChristmas is a nice time to reflect on the importance of our supporters and how we thank them for their loyalty over the past 12 months. Our Loyalty and Cultivation team worked with our Online Cancer Insight Panel to help develop a โChristmas Thanking Campaignโ which includes, thanking cards, emails, SMS, telemarketing and social media posts. You shared valuable feedback, which helped us make our communications more accessible and engaging to our supporters. Hereโs a summary of how our panelโs insight made a difference: THANKING CARDS You liked the different personal stories, types of cancer being mentioned and positive messaging in the card, but felt that we used too much text. You liked the bright colourful designs but felt the card wasnโt very Christmassy. We created three versions of our thanking cards including different patient stories. We ensured that the messaging in the cards is positive whilst ensuring that we are acknowledging how the festive season can be difficult for many who are closely affected by cancer. Our in-house designers continued to reflect our theme of unwrapping scientific discoveries and powering breakthroughs thanks to our supporters and introduced more festive elements to the card. Weโve worked carefully to ensure that it is inclusive of those who celebrate Christmas and those who donโt. THANKING EMAILS You liked how we recognised your support and shared that youโd like to see more detail about new groundbreaking progress. You felt the content was too long and youโd like it to feel more festive. Weโve shortened the copy to ensure the emails are user-friendly and easy to digest. Weโve also included festive emojis in the email subject lines, ensured our graphics incorporate classic festive themes and included new discoveries in science research within the researcher article sections. Weโre sending personalised versions of the email tailored to how the individual supports Cancer Research UK. For example, we now have a version for our regular monthly donors, for those giving to restricted funds (bowel, lung and children and young people’s cancers) and for those supporting the BowelBabe Fund. Thank you again for all your thoughtful contributions. Here at Cancer Research UK, this is what matters most, hearing directly from those affected by cancer to make our branding and messaging as powerful as possible. Warmest wishes from everyone at Cancer Research UK. |

2024 Winter Cash AppealInfluencing the look and feel of our campaignThe Individual Giving team worked closely with our Online Cancer Insight Panel to develop our 2024 Winter Cash Appeal. The appeal is sent out via email to 900,000 existing Cancer Research UK supporters with the aim to inspire our supporters to make a one-off donation to fund our life-saving research. If opt-ed in, you may have received these emails earlier this month! As the emails were sent to many people and at a time of year that can be sensitive to people affected by cancer, we wanted to gather feedback from patients and loved ones, to ensure our communications felt appropriate with the right tone of voice. Your feedback helped shape our appeal content in several ways:IMPROVED THE IMAGERY You wanted a better-quality graphic at the start of the email. We updated the graphic at the top of email and reviewed imagery to ensure they were high quality. HELPED TO IMPROVE OUR PATIENT CASE STUDIES You wanted a photo to go with the case study, to make it more personable. We added in a photo of a media volunteer to accompany the story. MADE IT FEEL RELATABLE TO EVERYDAY LIFE You suggested linking the amount to what youโd spend on coffee, takeaway pizza or a bottle of wine, something which is every day and considered almost incidental spend. Weโre testing linking the amount to a takeaway as suggested in a variation of this appeal.MADE IT FEEL MORE PERSONAL You asked if we could ensure people who have donated after the first email only receive a thank you and not another ask because people may feel less valued if asked for money again one week later. We have ensured that everyone who donates as part of the first email is excluded from an additional ask.The feedback received was greatly appreciated. We sent out the emails at the start of December and hope those of you who are opted into our email communications enjoyed receiving these. |

Dear Jeremy Faunt
Re: The Late Mr Arnold Tomlinson
I write further to our recorded conversation on Monday and thank you for speaking to me in terms of the circumstances of the late Mr Tomlinsonโs estate.
Further to our conversation I would like to advise you that I told you I need a PUBLIC APOLOGY from Lloyds Bank caused by Andrew Craigs letter and the tone of the conversation wherein you continued inferring what was in the letter. Therefore, your flimsy apology is not accepted.
You donโt understand nothing, you are in on the act of DEFAMING my name. I did not make only one payment. One of the payments I made was more than the paltry sum that Lloyds Bank are DEFAMING my name for. What information was needed urgently and for what? Which matter does Lloyd Bank needed to resolve?
Yes, you blinking well know it is ACCUSATORY and if I donโt get the PUBLIC APOLOGY Lloyds Bank will not hear the last of this matter. Lloyds Bank will be in my book Mervelee Myers The Strong Jamaican Women End Gender Based Violence At Housing For Women Properties UK Society.
I donโt need you, Andrew or Lloyds Bank assurance about whether I did anything or acted incorrectly in receiving the balance of my HUSBAND MONEY. I donโt give a toss about any claims that Trevor Anthony Tomlinson has made on his fatherโs ESTATE. All I am saying in the document dated 17th July 2023 there is a codicil saying if Trevor Anthony Tomlinson dies, is unwilling or unable the Mervelee Myers must be EXECUTOR. In light of recent happenings and person who share Power of Attorney with Trevor Tomlinson, I intend to exercise my RIGHTS as EXECUTOR based on the fact that a SAFEGUARDING was put on when my husband was in Guys and St Thomasโ Hospital because of the threats posed to both his father and me. If Trevor or Lloyds Bank want to ARGUE I can provide evidence of how him assaulting me caused his father to end up in Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust BYRON ward where he was NEGLECTED. I was removed from his bedside by RACIST security Nurse Betty called and I was MANHANDLED after leaving the Windrush Vigil on 6th April 2024. I was provoked by Trina Philbert on the 4th April after HMCTS Court. I ended up in A&E on the 7th April and my husband died on the 8th. The hospital took 6 hours to contact me.
As discussed, I have no need to justify any MONEY I paid towards my husbandโs funeral. How about Trevor Tomlinson present his receipts for any amount he spent? 1. I will not be evidencing anything. 2. I will not be returning any balance to be paid to Mr Tomlinson.
Now I am proving that you are a LIAR, you claim not to know about the matter. Now you are saying when we speak on 14 October 2024. Suffice it to say I paid for all of My HUSBAND FUNERAL. I paid for his sister because he was helping her financially. I am still sending money to his brother in Jamaica and will have to help with his funeral. This is supposed to come from the ESTATE.
I must advise Lloyds if they know whatโs best for both parties they stop PESTERING me over this matter.
How can one paltry sum of ยฃ4,824.14 is considered such a big deal when I had to pay for a CAB to take me and my FAMILY to my husbandโs funeral.
Maybe you can ask Trevor Anthony Tomlinson to arrange to pay the cost of the amount I spent on the FUNERAL. If Lloyds Bank continue PESTERING me I will seek Legal Advice.
Account name: Mr Arnold Tomlinson Sort Code: 309879 Account number: 6045260 Reference: bcr760028.
Thank you for stopping PESTERING me. You can go online to find this. I will also be using it for a PODCAST.
Yours faithfully
Mervelee Myers FD (Open)
Bereaved Widow.

| Dear Mervelee, I am so grateful to everyone who has donated to Dementia UKโs Christmas appeal after reading about how I supported Janet and her children, following her husband Ben’s diagnosis of dementia in his 50s. Every pound donated helps more families access life-changing specialist dementia support this Christmas and beyond. So far, Dementia UK supporters have donated over ยฃ50,000, meaning we can be there for more families when they need us most. But we canโt stop now. Families facing dementia need our support more than ever. This Christmas might be the first since their loved oneโs diagnosis, or family members might notice a big change since they last spent time together. Whatever their situation, many will be left feeling exhausted, overwhelmed and alone. Thatโs why Iโm asking you once more for your help.Your donation, no matter the size, will give more families the perfect gift of expert dementia support this Christmas. Hey,
Hope youโre well
Getting in touch as it’s been just over one year since you applied to take part in Impact on Urban Healthโs Parent Panel pilot. Hereโs the application form to jog your memory.
As someone who expressed an interest in this work, we wanted to get in touch to let you know that the pilot has now been completed and to share with you this end-of-pilot report in Spanish and English. It shares a little about what we did and what we learned.
We presented this report to the Impact on Urban Health team last week and it was really well received with a lot of thanks and appreciation for everyone whoโs been involved from those who designed the panel, to those who applied to be involved.
As youโll see, there is a lot in that report for the team to digest. As an immediate next step, weโre having a follow-up conversation with the Impact on Urban Health team in the new year.
For a look behind the scenes, check out our blogs about the panel including this one with videos from those involved.
Finally, as a reminder, weโll delete your details within 3 months of the end of this project (March 2025). Unless you shared that youโd like us to inform you of other ways to be involved in this project. If you did ask to be kept updated, weโll be in touch with any opportunities that arise in 2025.
…
If you have any questions or feedback on the report please do let us know. Otherwise, thanks again for your interest in this work. Wishing you a lovely end to the year.
Thanks. Tayo

| Dear Mervelee, Thanks to you, 2024 has been an unforgettable year for our charity. Your support made a real difference โ here’s how: Two new helicopters launched โ allowing us to be anywhere within the M25 in 11 minutes50,000 young lives reached โ through our schools and youth outreach activity Swift trial recruitment completed โ your support moved us closer to a medical development that could improve patient outcomesOmaze partnership secured โ helping us grow our amazing community by reaching new supporters. Itโs because of your generosity that we continue to be there for London, 24/7, 365 days a year. This is especially important during Christmas and New Year, when many will be out celebrating in the city and our teams will be relied on to respond when and where they are needed most. Team members like Chief Fire Officer John Power and Dr Anne Weaver, who marked workplace anniversaries this year, have dedicated decades to ensuring London is looked after in its moments of greatest need. For 30 years and 20 years respectively, their commitment has made all the difference. Alongside their colleagues they have been there for London โ and because supporters like you have been there for us, we have been able to keep flying. Thank you for your continued generosity which helps John, Anne and every member of our service be there for our patients. Your passion for our work makes this all possible.2024 in photos ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Best wishes,Jonathan Jenkins CEO London’s Air Ambulance Charity CONNECT WITH USCopyright ยฉ 2024 London’s Air Ambulance Charity, All rights reserved. As 2024 draws to a close, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on an extraordinary year of creativity, community, and collaboration. Thanks to everybody who has supported our work throughout the year, whether that’s as an artist, a participant, an audience member, a funder or one of the National Lottery players on whom our funders depend – thank you all! THE MOUTH OF THE GODS: 2024 THE MOUTH OF THE GODS has been heart of our work this year, and the response has been incredible! Here are just a few things that the reviewers had to say:”Border Crossings are well known for their innovative cross-cultural productions, and in this venture they have truly excelled themselves…. a supremely inventive cultural collage” Plays to See *****“an inventive project that turns the stuffy inaccessibility of classically renditioned opera on its head” The Reviews Hub *****“one of the most unique and special experiences Iโve had this year” Salterton Arts Review ****“The delicacy and linguistic richness of instruments, drums, voices, married with the European and Indigenous dance steps makes this a profound experience.” South London Community MattersClick here for full reviewsWe were particularly excited to welcome Indigenous soprano Edith Ramos Guerra to the UK for the first time: her extraordinary central performance brought the spirit of the Andes to the heart of London. If you’re following our journey on social media, you will know just how integral London’s Latin American communities have been in shaping THE MOUTH OF THE GODS. SUPPLIANTS OF SYRIA Another exciting project this year was the development of SUPPLIANTS OF SYRIA. During January we worked with British and Irish actors to respond to the material we’d found in Turkey during 2023. The film version of the piece has been screened in Tunisia and Turkey, with the refugee participants themselves present to see their work at รukurova University. In the last couple of weeks, the project has once again become incredibly relevant to the news headlines, with the overthrow of the Assad regime.
