Hi Mervelee,
My name is Clare and I cared for my mam, Christine, who had dementia. MM Response: I diagnosed my Mum’s dementia, and cared for her from a distance.
When Mam was diagnosed, we felt on our own as a family. We only had one visit from a health professional in six months. Mam was told she had a terminal illness, then discharged with no help. MM Response: I feel your PAIN, but in my case, I am coming up 66 years old, a DISABLED NHS Pensioner, who does not have a GP because I refuse to take RISPERDONE to stop me functioning. Shame on the NHS and those involved.
This month, I’m attending Dementia UK’s event in the UK Parliament to speak to MPs about how important it is for families like mine to get specialist dementia support. Please will you ask your MP to attend? MM Response: No, I will not ask my MP to attend, I will do my WRITING and use this to HIGHLIGHT how the UK is a SOCIETY that treat the ELDERLY Like SHIT. My husband was NEGLECTED on BYRON ward Kings College Hospital.
Yes, I’ll invite my MP >
Mam’s deterioration was so unpredictable. We never knew what we were going to get from one hour to the next. MM Response: I could have told you, and PUBLISHING stories to help carers and family, instead I have not GRIEVED for my MOTHER because I have been stretched to the limit since I wrote to LEYF Senior HR Dilys Epton am DEPRESSED and DYING SLOWLY of TORTURE.
It made such a difference to speak to a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse. They gave me that extra bit of support to keep going during Mam’s devastating illness. MM Response: This is where my PERSONAL EXPERIENCES could have helped.
Me and my mam, Christine
Earlier this year, I met my MP to explain how she can play her part in improving dementia care in my community. Now, I’m taking my message to MPs across the UK. MM Response: My messages have been written and STOLEN.
At Dementia UK’s event, MPs will hear about how Admiral Nurses support families facing dementia. We will tell the political parties how they can help increase access to dementia specialist nursing for everyone who needs it. MM Response: I am starting with Early Intervention starting with the CHILDREN abused at http://www.leyf.org.uk by June O’Sullivan and her Drag Queen Storytellers. And Young People at UEL where Richard Harty MIC abusers operating at the HOC Nursery from Equality Act Protected Characteristics become LAW.
If your MP receives an invitation from you, they are much more likely to come. Please ask them to attend by sending this pre-written email – it will only take two minutes. MM Response: I am too busy sorting out my life from POSSESSION/EVICTION and SUSPENDED SENTENCE.
Invite your MP now >
Thank you for your support. We’ll share an update on how the event goes in May.
Warm wishes,
Clare

| What if…dementia carers didn’t have money worries? Hi Mervelee We don’t think it’s right that dementia carers should be struggling financially whilst also managing the stresses and challenges of their caring role. However 8 in 10 dementia carers tell us that they are worried about the future and the impact of caring on their finances. We’re uniting with other charities to campaign for changes. We are proud signatories of a joint letter with Carers UK, and a coalition of over 100 other organisations, to the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, Liz Kendall MP. We are united in calling for an immediate end to the overpayments of Carer’s Allowance. It’s not fair that thousands of unpaid carers are experiencing financial hardship and debt. If you, or someone you know, is caring for someone with dementia and is struggling financially, we are here to help. We’re here to help. Our advisors can check that you are getting all the support that you’re entitled to as a dementia carer. This could include Carer’s Allowance, Attendance Allowance, Disability Living Allowance, Personal Independence Payments, Council Tax disregards, reduced prescription charges and the Blue Badge scheme. If working out where to get started feels overwhelming, or the paperwork feels all too much, we are here to help.Contact our advisors for help“Rob was incredibly helpful in guiding me through the necessary paperwork, making it as easy for me as possible and calling in to ensure I’d received notification of the claims. Rob made me aware of all the benefits available to my aunt and I am most appreciative. Thank you!”Dementia carer who called our Carer Support Line on 0800 652 1102What happens if a dementia carer can’t be there to care? We’re also drawing attention to what happens when dementia carers have no plans in place for when they’re not there to care.
