Dear Mrs Myers

Thank you for speaking to me recently. I’m just writing to confirm some of the things we talked about and to send you our decision in writing.

Our Decision

I’m really sorry that you’ve raised the following things:-

1. You’ve asked why your allowed to visit Brixton Branch shortly after getting a warning letter from us.
2. You want to know what accounts both you and your husband hold with Nationwide.
3. The threat of closing your account is clear evidence that Nationwide intends to steal your money.
4. You’re not happy that your photo will be made public on your profile.
5. You want a written apology and compensation for everything that Nationwide has done to you.

However, I’m afraid I can’t agree that we’ve done anything wrong.

How did we reach our decision?

To reach this decision, I’ve read all the statements following your visit to our Brixton Branch. You wanted to make a bill payment for £5,000 over the counter but the system required additional ID. As you didn’t have this on you at the time the cashier tried to bypass the system, but at that stage you started shouting and yelling at the cashier and also swearing at other customers. Despite the cashier managing to get to the point of making the payment you continued to swear and shout and then left the branch. This left the cashier and other members of staff and customers shocked and upset.

Therefore we were correct in giving you the warning but this didn’t mean you couldn’t continue to visit branch it just means that if you were to act like this again we would look to close your accounts with us.

You’ve asked what accounts you hold jointly with your husband, I can confirm that these are; Flexaccount ending 5981; 1.40% 2yr FRB (A) ending 5839; 1% 2yr FRB (A) ending 0613;

If any of your accounts were to be closed we would write to let you know and give you information on how to do a SWITCH OUT to another account or send you a cheque for the balances that remain in your accounts when we close them. As we follow the rules of the Financial Conduct Authority we wouldn’t be allowed to steal anyone’s money.

An alert on your account is something that’s written on your account to tell staff that a warning has been given to you. It’s not a photo of any kind so it doesn’t breach any laws, legislations, codes of conduct or malpractices.

I’m sorry but we won’t be in a position to offer you compensation nor a written apology. Neither are we responsible for how you’ve been treated in the past by Barclays Bank, Santander, the Police Force or any other criminal cases you’ve raised.

The £100 Nationwide Fairer Share payment is not compensation towards your complaint but as a result of profits made by Nationwide during the last financial year. As a building society, and not a bank, we can do things a little differently, like share profits with our members. We’ve given members £100 as part of our ongoing commitment to you all. Members need a current account plus either a savings account or mortgage account to qualify for this payment. As you and your husband have both, this is why you’ve received this payment if you don’t wish to receive it please let us know.

Your rights

If you do not refer your complaint in time, the Ombudsman will not have our permission to consider your complaint and so will only be able to do so in very limited circumstances. For example, if the Ombudsman believes that the delay was as a result of exceptional circumstances.

No result is coming out . What I suppose the landline has been cut off from BT when you get the new phone. So that is why the accounts are not showing with us now. However the billing account number is not at all showing any results.

In this case you have to reinstate the landline number back . For that I will be needing the correct details . I am sorry that non of the information you shared matched our records.

Sometimes am sitting in the Living Room and don’t hear the new phone ring. As a Carer it is difficult for both of us, when the officials and those with ulterior motives claim they call and no one answers the phone.

Thanks to Nursery World Magazine, Sky News, Community Playthings UK, all the #LEA: City of Westminster, NHS, Croydon Council, Camden Council, London Borough of Southwark, Lambeth Council, Islington College, Resources for Autism, HCT learning centre, Mark Allen Publishing, Dementia Friends, et al that have given the opportunities to empower myself via whatever trainings I attended.

Lambeth College and the The Open University done the most to empower me when I studied with them from 1997-1999 & 2004 – 2010.

The rest of my stories will become history as I use my #CoreStories to become an Entrepreneur as an #Author. Now I go to bed as I have to try and make it for the Cancer Research UK Race for Life tomorrow.

I apologize to encroach into your privacy in this manner; I got your contact from a directory on the Internet here in Afghanistan. I find it pleasurable to offer you my partnership in business and I pray at this time that, your e-mail contact address is still valid. As many of us start to get busier with work and social commitments, we are deeply grateful that a steady stream of volunteers continue to sign up to deliver our food parcels – despite the unseasonably rainy weather!

One of our Riders, Dan, has shared another lovely volunteering opportunity with the Cinnamon Trust; a charity that helps elderly and terminally ill people to care for their pets. One of their cases is in Walworth, close to Pembroke House, where an elderly couple need volunteers to walk their Jack Russell terrier. Walks are around 30 minutes, and can be morning, afternoon or early evening depending on the volunteer’s availability.

Dan has been volunteering with the Cinnamon Trust for years and is happy to answer any questions. If you reply to this email we can connect you to Dan or click on the link below to go directly to the Cinnamon Trust website.

Or maybe you or someone you know is musical and looking for a new job?

Pembroke House is looking for a Projects Officer (Music) who will:

• deliver and develop our three open-access music education and engagement programmes, providing inspirational, low-cost training to 70 children aged 0-15; and

• work across the wider sweep of Pembroke House’s activities on projects that could range from strategy, to fundraising, comms, events, HR, IT or finance, depending on the post holder’s skills and experience.

We’ve got a decision for you

Dear Mrs Myers

Thank you for speaking to me recently. I’m just writing to confirm some of the things we talked about and to send you our decision in writing.

Our Decision

I’m really sorry that you’ve raised the following things:-

1. You’ve asked why your allowed to visit Brixton Branch shortly after getting a warning letter from us.
2. You want to know what accounts both you and your husband hold with Nationwide.
3. The threat of closing your account is clear evidence that Nationwide intends to steal your money.
4. You’re not happy that your photo will be made public on your profile.
5. You want a written apology and compensation for everything that Nationwide has done to you.

However, I’m afraid I can’t agree that we’ve done anything wrong.

How did we reach our decision?

To reach this decision, I’ve read all the statements following your visit to our Brixton Branch. You wanted to make a bill payment for £5,000 over the counter but the system required additional ID. As you didn’t have this on you at the time the cashier tried to bypass the system, but at that stage you started shouting and yelling at the cashier and also swearing at other customers. Despite the cashier managing to get to the point of making the payment you continued to swear and shout and then left the branch. This left the cashier and other members of staff and customers shocked and upset.

Therefore we were correct in giving you the warning but this didn’t mean you couldn’t continue to visit branch it just means that if you were to act like this again we would look to close your accounts with us.

You’ve asked what accounts you hold jointly with your husband, I can confirm that these are; Flexaccount ending 5981; 1.40% 2yr FRB (A) ending 5839; 1% 2yr FRB (A) ending 0613;

If any of your accounts were to be closed we would write to let you know and give you information on how to do a SWITCH OUT to another account or send you a cheque for the balances that remain in your accounts when we close them. As we follow the rules of the Financial Conduct Authority we wouldn’t be allowed to steal anyone’s money.

An alert on your account is something that’s written on your account to tell staff that a warning has been given to you. It’s not a photo of any kind so it doesn’t breach any laws, legislations, codes of conduct or malpractices.

I’m sorry but we won’t be in a position to offer you compensation nor a written apology. Neither are we responsible for how you’ve been treated in the past by Barclays Bank, Santander, the Police Force or any other criminal cases you’ve raised.

The £100 Nationwide Fairer Share payment is not compensation towards your complaint but as a result of profits made by Nationwide during the last financial year. As a building society, and not a bank, we can do things a little differently, like share profits with our members. We’ve given members £100 as part of our ongoing commitment to you all. Members need a current account plus either a savings account or mortgage account to qualify for this payment. As you and your husband have both, this is why you’ve received this payment if you don’t wish to receive it please let us know.

If you do not refer your complaint in time, the Ombudsman will not have our permission to consider your complaint and so will only be able to do so in very limited circumstances. For example, if the Ombudsman believes that the delay was as a result of exceptional circumstances.

I was up until late doing what I have to do… Get up early this morning to the news about Manchester, United Kingdom. I am just so sad about the senseless killings. I am left to wonder what kind of world are we living in?

The past experiences that affected my life since I returned from burying my #MOTHER and transferred to BIB, HOC and New Cross LEYF Nurseries 23rd July 2014, have taken their tolls on me.

I struggled with the #MentalHealthIssues that were exacerbated and triggered to challenge the social injustices and inequalities existing in societies. I took my former employers to the Employment Tribunal, despite knowing that the cards were stacked against me.

This is my second appearance, first it was with King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, at the ET Courts and representing myself. Why, because on both ocassions the unions sell me out.

So shame on UNISON and Voice: the union for education professionals for their unprofessional conducts. In due course I will be making sure all of those in the systems and establishments are reported for the roles they play in my Mental Health-MeltDown.

There were London Borough of Southwark SEND Section, Local Safeguarding Board, Ofsted done nothing when concerns were raised because I did not have a status. But I was studying with the The Open University.

My GP because he worked for the NHS could not give me a Medical Report despite my documenting of my Medical History and prescribed VALIUM before coming to the United Kingdom. He gave me a diagnosis of Chronic Anxiety on the 18th July 2006 to do my exam for Health & Social Care, because I did not have a diagnosis of Parkinson’s.

Capsticks, Wimbledon have 3 Legal Representatives in Court on the day and in the end the matter was cooked up.

I can still recall the Judge saying, “She Can’t Even Open Her File”, because I was always a #BundleofNerves, but I concealed this part of me well by knowing the #Triggers for my Disabilities.

The rest of my story is history, however counselling at the Maudsley Hospital, helped me to cope much better. I missed out on what most people take for granted in their lives. But I have never complained outright, except blaming my FATHER for getting sick and leaving me alone. Then I turned on my Father’s GOD that should have protected Papa from 10+ years of suffering. Is it any wonder I experienced #PostTraumaticStressDisorder for all these years? Now some idiots are setting out to push me over the edge again, but they won’t get away with it.

That’s why I refused to give up on myself to coin a phase from my #1Son Mr Kevin Murray on Mother’s Day. I know without a doubt both my sons are my Protectors as stated by my #2Son Mr Valdin Legister, in his message.

That’s why despite what the naysayers and trolls are doing to derail my progress back to some levels of recovery, I will not let them get away. I have come this far with the support from my loyal family, friends and wellwishers who have afforded me the comfort of providing me with the #SupportNetwork to help me through the darkest days of my life so far.

Therefore each day I wake up I give thanks to GOD, the same God that I questioned about why me?

Nationwide Fairer Share Payment

Firstly, thank you for continuing the Systematic Discrimination after the death of my mother, Perline Louise Chambers-Nembhard with dementia. I am writing this in response to the £100.00 Nationwide Fairer Share Payment because “Without Prejudice” this is a BRIBE to cover up the DEFAMATION of my NAME and CHARACTER by persons with ulterior motives. I am raising concerns on behalf of myself and husband Mr. Arnold Ebenezer Tomlinson, who at 100 years old has been TRAUMATISED to the point where we are both VICTIMS. If I am not careful we will both die an excruciating DEATH of SLOW TORTURE I reported to my former EMPLOYERS www.leyf.org.uk on the eve of Mothering Sunday 14^th March 2015. In order to get my arguments across to Nationwide that I intend to take the matter further, yesterday was my “Wedding Anniversary” and I am DEPRESSED and not FUNCTIONING. The only thing I can do is WRITE like I did for THERAPY from my FATHER was stricken with Parkinson’s disease.

I find it ironic that after I came into Nationwide on the 28^th April 2023 to conduct business, I was sent a SURVEY which I did and returned. Because I did not have any issues with Nationwide on the 28/4/2023 I want Nationwide to produce my response to the SURVEY to clarify their reasons for their ACTIONS against me with the letter dated the 10^th May 2023.

How can Nationwide be so insensitive thanking me for continuing to be a member who banks, borrows or save with them, when they did not consider the implications of the ALLEGATIONS they made against me. Yes, I do know Nationwide is not a BANK, it is a BUILDING SOCIETY. But I do not see Nationwide doing anything differently from Barclays and Santander. In fact Nationwide has stooped lower than the lowest in making allegations and threats against me. If I was not determined to get to the bottom of the matter, Nationwide would not be offering this measly sum as a BRIBE. This only proves that BANKS and BUILDING SOCIETIES target the VULNERABLE. The differently Nationwide did is/was to TRIGGER me with the letter, making allegations. This is/was a DEFAMATION of my NAME and CHARACTER causing my husband and to be made unable to function.

In case Nationwide needs to do due diligence about who is Mervelee Myers, I would advise them to do their RESEARCH from when my husband and I have SAVINGS together. Since, I have never received any incentives from Nationwide over the years we had our savings, why is it only now I am offered Nationwide Fairer Share Payment? Therefore, I must come to the conclusion that Nationwide has taken the profits for themselves.

I must come to the conclusion that Nationwide has been taking the profits and since decided that because I am vulnerable and the next of kin of Arnold Ebenezer Tomlinson, they would make allegations and threaten to close my account to push me over the edge. Firstly, when I went in the branch to do business, the teller was trying to get me to transfer money to an account that did not exist.

The reasons I have to take out a joint account with my husband is because of what Barclays did to me and close my account whilst I was locked inside for over an hour, waiting for Police to arrive. Since I told Nationwide verbally, if not in writing about the IMPACT of Barclays actions on my mental and physical impairments, I find it strange that Nationwide has employed the same tactics. But unlike Barclays that took my £1000.00 at the counter, hoping I did not realise. Then set out to make me out to be a thief, then the FOS joined in to push me over the edge. It seems that Nationwide went and did the RESEARCH and decided to DESTROY me to take mine and my husband’s SAVINGS. Making ALLEGATIONS and threats to close my account. Just for the records I ask the person I spoke to on the 15/5/2023 if the THREATS to close MERVELEE MYERS account extend to all JOINT ACCOUNTS with my husband and she refused to address the matter. Instead she was playing on my husband’s VULNERABILITY of being TRIGGERED and accompanying me to sort the matter out.

I went into Nationwide to seek advice about Santander trying to take my husband’s money, not allowing him to use his pin and restricting him access to his money and threatening him. I find it strange that after the money was transferred to Nationwide and some of the money was put in a SAVINGS ACCOUNT, Nationwide set out to target me with ALLEGATIONS and THREATS. How much PROFITS has Nationwide got from me and my HUSBAND. This seems like another USAIN BOLT case. Only I am in the UK and Usain Bolt is in Jamaica.          

About your payment

As stated above this is a BRIBE to cover the fact that Nationwide used ALLEGATIONS to THREATEN to close my account knowing I am the next of kin of Arnold Ebenezer Tomlinson, who at 100 years old need support. More than likely Nationwide is using my VULNERABILITY to get rid of me like has been done via two (2) miscarriages of justice by the Judiciary of England and Wales to do with https://www.gov.uk/employment-tribunal-decisions-ms-m-myers-v-london-early-years-foundation-2300047-2016 for more.

I am not delighted that Nationwide think they can fob me off with £100.00 and failed to address my concerns in the letter that TRIGGERED me. How very SAD that Nationwide did not consider to offer me the £100.00 when they last checked on the 31 March that MERVELEE MYERS is a member eligible for the Nationwide Fairer Share Payment? But sent me a SURVEY on 2^nd May 2023 about my experience in the branch. Because I did not have any negative experience on the 28^th April 2023 I filled the SURVEY accordingly. I guess Nationwide plotted the ALLEGATIONS and was testing my reactions before sending the THREATS.

As far as I am concerned I couldn’t care less if Nationwide pay me £100.00 between 13 and 30^th of June. Because if I didn’t challenge Nationwide CRIMINALITY, I would not have any account to pay it into. The same way Barclays closed my account and left my life in disarray, picking up the pieces. But it did not end there. Emma Martin-Hamilton of the FOS get Trustpilot and YouTube to target me. But the straw that breaks the camel’s back is getting PC Edward Allen of the Peckham Police to be cyberbullying, harassing and bullying me via telephone. Sending me email I called him a BATTY BOY. This is no different from going into Nationwide on the 15/5/2023 and hearing that FEMALE saying she was the person who filed the report with the ALLEGATIONS. Therefore, I will put on record that my brother died age 37 years old in jail because of his SEXUALITY. I was made a CRIMINAL needing Emotional Regulation Treatment to cover for UEL Richard Harty MIC PAEDOPHILE RINGS operating out of HOC Nursery.   Nationwide will compensate me so I can set up JEVON NEMBHARD foundation to help SAFEGUARD children, young people and vulnerable adults around the world from DISCRIMINATION.

How you’ll get your payment

I don’t intend to do anything, am waiting for Nationwide to address my concerns and not do what has been done by those involved in the SYSTEMATIC DISCRIMINATION against me and my husband.

Here is the proof that Nationwide cannot hide. The THREATS to close my account with ALLEGATIONS defaming my name and character did not end in me not having an account. So, the young lady who tried to get me to transfer money in an account that does not exist was trained to target VUULNERABLE people at the counter, like Barclays did to me twice and Santander to my husband. What does Nationwide mean about just so I know…? This was the reason I asked the lady on the 15/5/2023 what will happen with other accounts. Even the account in question is a joint account.

I am not interested in anything else than settling my concerns about the ALLEGATIONS and THREATS to close my account. And giving my IMAGES to other members of staff.

It has been an explosion of activities since I was advised to speak to the CEO of BLAC Awards at the South Norwood
Library in April…here is the news from the first publication of the Newsletter…we did it!! The BLAC Awards,
the Royal Air Force and all the attendees on the night made history on Sunday 30 October 2022 – a first in 103
years! You can read here a copy of the beautiful email which we received from the RAF.
Thanks to BLAC Awards CEO, Imanii Zenawi and Garfield Robinson for taking me under their wings and helping
me to regain my passion in finding my purpose.
Mention to Neil Mukherjee who I found online seeking writers for his Spring Windrush Event in Oxford. Thanks to
all the persons at the event who welcome me with open arms.
My song is on APP SONGSTREETS, an immersive audio walk-through the streets and culture of Brixton with Border
Crossings. Launched 11 April 2023 at Windrush Square, I am listed as the Composer for ‘Brixton Market’. Working
in partnership with Jessie Lloyd from Australia, I was introduced to the project by Mr. Tony Cealy of ‘Black History
Walks’. Mr. Cealy was the trainer of “Theatre of the Oppressed” which I participated in volunteering with Pembroke
House. I became a member of Cardboard Citizens after knocking on doors on the Aylesbury Estate, and I was sponsored
by Cardboard Citizens to do “Introduction to Acting” at Morley College. I am also a member of Mr. Cealy’s
Windrush Playback Stories.

Hello and welcome to the first edition of the BLAC
Awards Newsletter.
We at the BLAC Awards are privileged to publish
our first Newsletter as an inspiration to anyone
who reads this. We want to encourage people
from all walks of life to contribute to creating the
legacies. As we have had the foundations laid by
the pioneers in their field, and more importantly
from our ancestors.
The BLAC Awards and that of our Partners, Sponsors,
and the local and international community,
gives priority in publishing a Newsletter so that everyone
has the chance to have their stories told.
In the words of Nelson Mandela, “The Purpose of
Freedom is to Create for Others”.
My multiple identities make it important for me to
accept my uniqueness, inherited from my ancestors
from whichever continents they were born,
and to count my blessings for being born in Jamaica
where it takes a village to raise a child. I
can forewarn the reader that this child’s “Personal
Experiences” of childhood traumas did not make
me the ideal child to be raised. I can say with pride
that my “Personal Challenges” from the time my father
was stricken with Parkinson’s disease helped
to shape my life into the person I am today. This is
the primary reason I am ready to find my purpose
as a member of the BLAC Awards team.
I am looking forward to learning new skills and
the empowerment to help others who might have
been on journeys throughout their lives. I can give
my testimony that Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
(PTSD), and my Mental and Physical Impairments
did not define me, however, I must use my voice
to help the voiceless who are made voiceless, vulnerable
victims by systematic discrimination.

Evaluation: Even though there is not much gardening done. I still do the repotting as Tom is no longer up to doing lots of things any more.
