I would like you to accept this email as a formal complaint for a failure to make reasonable adjustments I requested on 5 December 2022.
On 30 November 2022 after 16.00pm I was informed that your company would be attending with a risk assessor to carry out a repeat inspection on 1 December 2022 where I was given less than 24 hours notice of the visit that had already taken place on 5 July 2022.
Despite being unavailable on 1 December 2022 and confirming this previously with the lawyer and confirming 7 December 2022 as convenient, Housing for Women and the lawyers failed to book in 7 December 2022 by giving me less than 24 hours notice which is unreasonable as Housing for Women have been fully aware of my reasonable adjustment requests to provide me with written notice of visits of times, names of individuals visiting along with permission to have a witness present for safeguarding with visits arranged after 10.00. There is a long email history between myself, landlord, MP and councillors going back to 2019 where I have had to remind my landlord and MP of the issues with their failings to comply.
On 1 December 2022 just after 09.00am while I was home alone, your manager Tim and Maureen from SafetyBoss arrived.
As you are aware I filmed the interaction from the moment your manager rang the intercom until they walked away. I kindly and politely explained that I was home alone and asked if they could wait one hour as I was not dressed appropriately. I should not have to explain myself about being dressed inappropriately but your manager Tim refused to wait stating that he had another job booked in two hours.
I was very shocked at their refusal to give me time to get dressed, brush my teeth and get a neighbour to be a witness during the repeat inspection as that was the quickest way for me to have someone present but unfortunately your company refused to give me the time to get dressed and have someone with me.
On 5 December 2022 I made a request for reasonable adjustments which your company refused to agree to which was for me to be given 48 hours notice in writing of visits, visits after 10.00am and to remain on our home during repairs.
Your manager Tim wrote a statement to Housing for Women on 5 December 2022 refusing to provide services in our home if I was present by weaponising and blaming the way I spoke and provided a very false, misleading and inaccurate statement about his attendance.
I was very shocked and insulted by your manager’s unlawful discrimination refusing to be present and work in our home if I was present while accusing me of being a risk to your male staff simply because I have cultural differences, needs and disabilities that are protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010 and known protected characteristics to Housing for Women and your company which Housing for Women made you aware of when they hired you in September or November 2022.
I made a further request asking for your staff to be respectful during Ramadan which your company ignored.
Following repeat requests for the timetable and notice of visits, another request was made asking for your company to use non toxic materials for the flooring repairs which again your company ignored.
As a result of your refusal to agree to 10.00am starts my son put on hold his Master’s degree and starting employment so he could be present for your company to carry out works in our home from 08.00am daily but every day your company was and continues to be a no show.
Despite requesting from your company the timetable, schedule of works and reports, your company has continued to refuse to agree to reasonable adjustments and refused to provide the services, placing me at a substantial disadvantage because of my disabilities.
The report and statement provided by your company on 5 December 2022 has inaccurate, false and misleading information which you have refused to correct and refused to apologise for despite the transcript being available from the video footage of 1 December 2022 which is widely available on Twitter and seen by many.
Your direct actions of refusing to work in our home if I am present is disproportionate, discriminatory and aggressive and your direct actions have caused me as a disabled person at a substantial disadvantage when compared to a non disabled person.
As the company hired by my landlord under the Equality Act 2010 you have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to a provision, criteria, practice or service that places a person at a substantial disadvantage due to their disability. A failure to make reasonable adjustments is unlawful and amounts to discrimination.
You have failed to make adjustments by refusing to work in our home unless I am removed with my son into temporary housing and as a result of your unlawful discrimination and victimisation against me we have suffered significant distress, disruption and suffering by being excluded and denied services simply because I made a request for non burdensome and non expensive reasonable adjustments.
Please provide information in writing as to why you have been unable to make the adjustments requested despite expert evidence proving decanting not being required within the next 14 days from receipt of this email.

The Windrush Generation: Oral History Resources
One of the aims of this 3-year project, ‘The Windrush Scandal in a Transnational and Commonwealth Context’ is to identify holdings of oral history resources on the Windrush Generation across the UK. The objective is to create a database of oral history holdings which will be hosted on a dedicated section of the School of Advanced Study’s website alongside other key outputs of the wider project. It will also be located as a searchable catalogue on the Black Cultural Archives’ (BCA) website. The British Library will also signpost oral history users to the database.
As no composite catalogue currently exists, Dr Juanita Cox, the project’s full-time research fellow, will be reaching to Windrush community elders/leaders, oral historians and academics for any information on the location of on- and/or off-line resources of interest.
The Institute of Commonwealth Studies has a strong academic interest in recording and analysing marginalised and silenced voices from ethnic minority groups in the UK and recognises the need to address the absences in Black British History. It seeks to provide invaluable teaching resources for those academics seeking to decolonise the curriculum of their institutions. We hope too that it will provide an important bridge between the academic world and the many researchers outside the academy who have been active in this field for decades.
The Windrush Generation is here defined as those citizens of the United Kingdom and colonies (CUKCs) who arrived in the UK from the late 1940s through to early 1970s.

The key objective of the wider project is to develop a digital research resource of sixty extended interviews on the national and diplomatic activism around the Windrush scandal. Oral and archival research will be combined to explore the links between international diplomacy and community activism, providing insights into the ways in which support from diplomats enhanced and amplified the community-based campaigning and investigative reporting.
Thirty of the interviews will focus on members of the Windrush Generation and their descendants (those whose everyday lives were blighted by the hostile environment) and on their supporters, legal and political representatives. The other thirty will focus on the response of Caribbean governments and their representatives in London to the legal restrictions imposed on immigration to the UK from the Caribbean from the early 1960s, and the plight of those members of the diaspora community, whose right to remain in the UK was challenged by the British State.
The interviews will explore the extent to which complexities of the law governing nationality exacerbated confusion around citizenship and belonging. They will seek to identify the extent to which members of the diaspora were aware of changes to their rights and obligations brought about by successive acts of parliament from 1962, and the stages by which it became clear significant numbers of people were having their right to remain in the UK challenged.
Our team will seek to ensure the broadest possible dissemination with a special seminar at the Black Cultural Archives for community activists on the project’s findings. We will stage a project ‘roadshow’ which will visit cities in the UK with significant Caribbean communities. We will provide separate seminars aimed at the staff of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the Home Office and the Caribbean High Commissions in London.
We expect the research resources we produce to be used widely by academics and students producing undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations. Our podcasts will be aimed at those outside the University, with one podcast specifically aimed at pupils taking the OCR History GCSE module ‘Migration to Britain, 1000-2010’. Our articles for the British Library’s ‘Windrush Stories’ website will enable us to demonstrate the relevance of our project materials to a range of researcher and educators.

It is persons like you and Sean G the bloke who turned up late at night to collect my barrels who gave me the faith not to ever give up on Human Kind again. When I spoke to SG and was thanking him profusely for taking time out of his busy schedules to come and do me a favour, he suggested I should be thanking you instead. So I duly asked him for your name and can visualised a very professional person working in a busy work environment, especially at this time of the year. However you did take time out ensuring my needs were met when all doors seemed to have been closed.
I am truly appreciative of all the lengths you went through to help me out and I will forever be grateful for what you have done. I must also say how very mannerly SG conducted himself, even going to great lengths explaining that he would have called to let me know he was on his way, but he did not have a number and by that time you had left the office.

“Brain Break” sticks! Each popsicle stick has an activity on it {like spin 3x, jump rope, macarena, seat swap, etc…}. When I see that the kids are starting to fade away, I stop and say “man, our brains need to take a break…lets do a brain break. The kids absolutely go NUTS for these fun little activities. My Papa’s Elder Brother Uncle Aretas died from #ProstrateCancer & I can’t recall the year. Another of his Brother’s Uncle Sylvester also died from #ProstrateCancer.
#ParkinsonDisease was the illness that my Papa suffered with for 10+ years & his Younger Brother Uncle Gridley also suffered from Parkinson.

I am very sorry to hear of the hardship and emotional impact that you describe.
The case that I dealt with last year related to plumbing faults (including with your toilet cistern and scalding water from the shower) and a leak into your hallway (including presence of mould and silverfish). These issues were considered as part of a complaint that exhausted your landlord’s complaints process in July 2021 so my investigation covered events to then and how the landlord had attempted to put right these issues during subsequent months. I determined that there was maladministration by the landlord and made orders which I wrote to you about in the past to confirm that the Housing Ombudsman considered these orders had been complied with.
A flooring issue was determined by the Housing Ombudsman in May 2016 and was not part of my investigation.
I gather from your recent email (and attachments) that there have been further interactions between you and your landlord since my determination and that these have included an additional Part 36 offer in October 2022. If you are dissatisfied with this offer, I would recommend that you liaise with the landlord on this. I set out in my determination that it was “not within the Ombudsman’s jurisdiction to assess the landlord’s offers made under Part 36 of the Civil Procedure Laws”. If further events have occurred since my determination and you have exhausted the landlord’s complaints process again, I would recommend that you provide a copy of the landlord’s final complaint response (with confirmation of what is still in dispute) and we can open a new case reference for you and consider these matters.
If you are dissatisfied with the landlord’s handling of reasonable adjustments since June 2022 or decisions about your flooring or decant offers, please do submit a complaint to them about this. If you encounter difficulties in getting the landlord to respond to your complaint, please provide a copy of the complaint to us and explain what has happened. We will then be able to open a new case reference and my colleagues in Dispute Support should be able to assist in ensuring your landlord progresses the matter through their complaints process. I am afraid we would not pro-actively contact other residents about their flooring issues but we may make enquiries with your landlord related to this should we accept the case for investigation in future.

I am a tenant of H4W, having been nominated by LBL for my home in 2011. You are aware of me as I have tagged you on social media posts about the ongoing problems my landlord H4W continue to cause myself and son.
It’s very disappointing that to date, LBL continues to ignore H4W tenants which your council has an agreement with. I have followed all the correct procedures with raising concerns, complaints, documenting and collecting evidence, reported issues to the council, Environmental Health, MP, councillors, ombudsman to name a few and despite all the evidence and so many other cases across Lewisham, I would like to know why the council have yet to acknowledge the misery and suffering H4W are inflicting on tenants? We live in Lewisham so why are we excluded and not getting the help and support from LBL the same way council and private rented tenants do? H4W continue to repeatedly break the Homes Act, Landlord and Tenant Act and the Environmental Protection Act and breach many regulations and to date, LBL have taken no action and left us to deal with years of discrimination, bullying and malpractice from H4W.
The council have a duty of care yet H4W tenants are excluded when it comes to the council using the powers they have to take action against rogue landlords. How is this acceptable in 2022, the borough you are so proud of when it comes to equality and diversity?
LBL must take accountability and responsibility for failing to intervene and take action to protect tenants and prevent more tenants having to go through the hardships from being a H4W tenant and for allowing H4W to continue to abuse their powers. Is there no such thing as intervention and prevention at LBL? When you end up living in a H4W property in Lewisham on a permanent basis, your quality of life reduces if you are a BAME vulnerable and disabled person. There is clear evidence of race, disability and gender discrimination from H4W yet your council has never taken action and to this day H4W continue discriminating, bullying, punishing and putting tenants at risk and LBL are yet to intervene. Why? Where is the council’s duty of care?
My neighbour Barbara moved here during the pandemic. I helped her when I could, sometimes Barbara needed help due to medical needs. There were a few occasions when ambulance or medical staff couldn’t access Barbara’s home due to the outside emergency key box not opening. Despite H4W being made aware of the issue, H4W failed to repair it fully causing delays in accessing Barbara’s home in an emergency. On another occasion Barbara had another fall and LFB had to come out and access her flat with a ladder to the balcony. Her distress could and should have been prevented yet H4W failed to repair the box, putting Barbara at risk.
The FRA states that our building is general needs and not for disabled people. If there had been a fire here, Barbara would not have been able to evacuate by herself. Due to the property not being suitable for Barbara’s needs, which H4W knew it wasn’t prior to offering the transfer, Barbara’s family managed to find a suitable property for Barbara. She was so happy to move from here.
Barbara passed away and she will be laid to rest this week. I will never forget the distress Barbara went through when she had a fall and ambulance staff couldn’t access her home due to H4W’s negligence in not repairing the spare key box outside. Barbara’s quality of life was already significantly reduced due to her disability. And yet she was rehoused here, in an unsafe building, full of all the issues you and everyone else is aware of and she couldn’t even enjoy, be happy or be safe in her home while she lived here due to H4W’s failings in being a responsible and decent landlord.
How many H4W tenants have died in Lewisham and how many of those who passed away had problems with their housing, with repairs, complaints, staff, ASB, rehousing and everything else that tenants report and have difficulties with? How many more deaths will it take for the council to recognise that tenants are being caused so much poor and ill health due to their living conditions and actions by H4W?
If H4W were a private landlord, they would never be allowed to do the things they’ve done to me, my son and neighbours so why is it ok for H4W to do it but not a private landlord?
If the CEO of H4W were to be a male, he would be described as misogynistic and it would be a national scandal that a CEO repeatedly and purposely bullies and discriminates vulnerable, disabled, survivors and victims of abuse as well as putting people at direct risk of harm but also risk everyone else’s safety at the same time. Do you know how many Lewisham tenants of H4W have become a victim of crime? And yet women and their families are still being rehoused with H4W in Lewisham with tenants completely unaware of all the issues and risks.
The way your council have treated me and my son and the way LBL have ignored our cases is unacceptable and utterly disgraceful Mr Egan. If it wasn’t for the council, we wouldn’t be living here. Over ten years of our life wasted, suffering because of H4W and your council’s refusal to help us. Had the council intervened and helped then I would not be having to now go through a very expensive and stressful legal disrepair case to get repairs done. I was refused eligibility to be put on the council housing register by LBL despite having evidence our home was causing us ill health plus confirmation from H4W that our home smelt of toxic waste because of our home being directly above the communal bin room. On what grounds did the council decide to refuse us social housing within Lewisham? If the council had accepted our housing then we would not be living here now. Your council knowingly made the decision to discriminate us by refusing us rehousing and allowed H4W to abuse us over the years.
What more evidence does the council need? It’s clear H4W have no intention whatsoever to be a decent landlord and provide a decent home for us. Some repairs go back over seven years and today I’m still waiting for those repairs to be carried out. No tenant should have to wait years to get repairs done and no tenant should be put at additional risk due to disrepairs and crime. In the ten years we’ve lived here only twice has the council ever visited us. What happened to my previous cases with LBL regarding H4W and how much longer will your council keep ignoring us?

Diverse & Complex Needs – U can’t tell by Looking: So I am travelling on the #1 bus home & got caught up in bottle neck traffic… If I wasn’t really so TIRED, I’d have got off & walked? Bloke came on the bus & stood behind the seat am sitting in & is saying excuse me… He kept on saying it for a good many minutes & the other bloke just sat there… Eventually sum1 beckons to him & he indicated with hand 2 Ears – yes he is DEAF! The JA bloke (yes recognised the accent) began to apologise saying he thought the bloke was being Rude & Ignoring him?
Later on a young lady got on & similar occurrences happened as with the bloke. It was good to see & hear the JA bloke explained to the YL that the bloke is Deaf & the same thing happened to him when he did not respond. All is well that ends well as the JA bloke was trying to communicate to the Deaf bloke about getting Hearing Aid…
The moral of the story is we should not be too quick to JUDGE! As I go about my daily business I am reminded of the Persons we come across who are experiencing different situations in their Lives… It is not easy & that was 1 of the major Reasons why I embarked on Studies to empower myself to deal with some of the ISSUES which had confronted me in my Childhood & later on that road I travelled called LIFE…! So often times I feel down & out as I refused to tag myself with that other “D” word, but I always Bounce Back Before 2 Long!

Today was about empowerment at the #guardianlive. I can already see the outline of the book about the Modern Slavery that I got caught up in, from the time of my MOTHER death. This is the story of a young man who is working under Modern Slavery Conditions at LEYF Nurseries – #LEYF. He is not the only one, but the psychopaths go about using confidential data to manipulate you if you ever decided to challenge the discrimination. Here’s a little snippet of this young man. Allegations were made against him at Lisson Green. In trying to get out he applied for a job and they put the allegations in the reference. The offer was withdrawn. Like me, he has been applying for posts, but he will have to spend the rest of his life, being frustrated. Unless he decides to go for a career change.
Well check my story, after 6 years and a CEO Long Service Awards, allegations were made. I tried holding onto the job, until I have a nervous breakdown. I get a 6 line reference #flagging_safeguarding. I have not worked since.
Can you understand why I have my Fight4justice campaign against discrimination? Well 1 thicko from the Employment Appeals Tribunal EAT told me on the 19/10/2018 that I made up my Disabilities. As of today 5th November when history states that Guy Fawkes tried to burn down the Houses of Parliament, I don’t have to wonder why! Now that I have discovered what some think of me & are #Vocal in their negative narratives & discourses about my #MADNESS, I will think of the positives & get on with my life. From today until the time I am no longer able to, I will make sure #MsPublicEnemy1 don’t involve the #PrivatePersons from my #PastinmyMADNESS. They are welcome to #Blockme, & I don’t give #3Fucks. My life is getting sorted from the Counselling I have had from the Maudsley Hospital. That’s why I offered myself to the NHS Professionals for #ResearchintoMentalHealthIssues.
There is no need to sit back wringing my hands not knowing the causes of my #Deficits & #Limitations,, because I am my own #Therapists from the age of 10 years old.
Now it’s time to #DissClutter all the #Rubbish from my life & put them on the #BackBurner so they have no #Power over my life anymore!
As of now my #2Sons Kevin Murray, Valdin Legister & my #ChildhoodFriend Mertie Bernard are the only persons who will have any #Influence on my life!

My life has been #played out on social media. Let me keep you posted about my #beloved husband. Arnold Tomlinson is no longer the man he once was. He has spent most of the day in bed. The only way I get my concerns given any notice, is by putting my foot down and sticking to my #GUNS. It did not work at King’s College Hospital despite raising concerns with UNISON. Asking for advice from the HR Department at KINGS and London Borough of Southwark SEND Section. The Local Educational Authority, Local Safeguarding Children Board and Ofsted. So I refused to be discriminated against and take my case to the #SouthLondonEmploymentTribunal. I was pushed around by Capsticks, Wimbledon and their cohorts. I ended up as part of Dr Maria Hudson of the Policy Studies Institute research and recommendation to Acas. I was blacklisted and networked against from then onward, my life changed forever.
Move forward to my ongoing problems with LEYF Nurseries from the time I get back from burying my MOTHER. In the intervals I have had runs in with Voice: the union for education professionals, they are as I am expecting all unions to operate, corrupt. My runs in with Bates Wells & Braithwraite London, they are like I all solicitors to operate, unscrupulous. My runs in with #LizRoberts of the Nursery World Magazine, Resources for Autism, Darvell School of Community Playthings UK, Advising London, HCT Group, Connex Education – London, etc… They are all the same getting a Brown Nose.
Just recently I went to the GP Surgery Nexus Healthcare in my local area. Only to be told the next appointment is on the 29th November 2017. So I asked in my most professional voice, considering I have been trying to keep the tremors in control “What am I supposed to do in the meantime”? So they take my number saying the Doctor will call me, let’s see when?
My angst is, despite me telephoning the Police on 2 ocassions about verbal threats over the telephone, I was told it’s not a Police matter. However, Winsome Duncan: Author & Public Speaker can phone them up to report she have concerns about a postings on Facebook. Stating I am thinking of self-harming and suicide. I have no intention of going into this as anyone who knows me, know my views about suicides.
However I am just so angry about the way vulnerable people are been treated by psychopaths with an axe to grind. That’s after PM Theresa May, pledge to the Daily Express. What would have happened if I did not open my door? Even when I opened it and they could see there is nothing wrong with me, they insisted on entering my home. They then proceeded to try forcing me to go with them until I put my foot down, I was not leaving my husband.
I eventually showed them the Medical Reports from the Employment tribunal case bundle, I had taken along to Neil Coyle MP Surgery. There was a man smashing up the place, but I did not see anyone calling for him to be sectioned.
My point I am trying to make is I insisted what I am supposed to do in the meantime when I was glibly told the next appointment is 29th. I noticed one Lady at the reception, eying me under her eyelid and I am thinking maybe she should call the Ambulance to take me home. I can hardly walk. Now the GP called and I am prescribed painkillers. I reasure her I only take prescription medications when I can’t do otherwise, so she has no need to be concerned. The other thing I will have to make my way to collect the prescription and go to the pharmacy.
My GOD, when am I going to have a reprieve? I am having it up to above my head. If it’s not one thing it is another. But for all of the psychopaths you will have to wait, GOD don’t done with me yet.

Went down to the market & had to join in an on going Conversation with sum Blokes! Great insights indeed from 1 of the bredas when he made a comment bout why some Women tend to do certain things when they see a Man? Yet they will claim that they only do things for them! The breda had a valid point & I couldn’t agree with him more? So Ladies just remember that Underwear is so named because it is supposed to be worn under cover! & as 4 those who placed a Tattoo at sum strategic locations on the body…? The breda say the Ladies need to make sure all is well b4 they cum showing the Flakes – Or as my mum would say, dem skin fava Alligator Back! Well lets hope they with the scabby skins don’t venture down JA or they may get mistaken 4 the Alligators?
