 When Once I Found A Mother’s Church

Verse 1

Chorus

When once I found a Mother’s Church (repeat X 3)

And worship there, today

It makes me think of good old times (repeat X 3)

Before, my head was grey.

The heart of a place, the heart of a home

Where my empowerment has taken root (repeat X 3)

With the Philosophy of Brains

From August 2022

Verse 3

Now Mervelee has join the Niyah Bingy Band (repeat X 3)

And is the voice of an Icon name Ms Lou

The time has come to change the narratives of discrimination (repeat X 3).

And take on the Activist role.

We join to make our VOICES heard (repeat X 3)

As we continue the Fight For Justice

Until the end of time

Verse 6

Now that I have found Mama Bingy’s Yard (repeat X 3)

Enslaving Black Women as CRIMINALS needing

Emotional Regulation Treatment entrapment

Chorus

When once I found a Mother’s Church (repeat X 3)

And worship there, today

And am the Victim of the SYSTEM

Dear MERVELEE,

Thanks to input from over 250 Research Community members like you, our report ‘In the public interest?‘ exposed the psychological harm of council tax debt collection practices.

We’re really happy to tell you that on May 14th, senior cabinet minister Pat McFadden MP announced the Government will investigate these harmful practices and ensure people behind on council tax get “a reasonable period of time” to pay their debts. This news has come right after the Welsh Government also opened a consultation asking how the collection of council tax debt can be fairer.

This wouldn’t have happened without you. Your survey responses provided the evidence we needed to make real change.

Thank you for being part of our Research Community – you’re truly making a difference!

All the best,
