REPORT FOR TIME SPENT IN ENGLAND.
Arrived in England on June 4th, 2024, accompanied by my brother. We should have arrived in May to attend the funeral service for Arnold Tomlinson, deceased husband of our mother.
We stayed with our mother for the duration of our visit. My brother spent 2 weeks, due to work obligations and I was able to spend 3 months.
· During our visit, we made aware of of events that were certainly having a negative impact on our mother. We were made aware;
· court case between our mother and HAW – Housing Authority for Women.
· Conflict between our mother and her neighbors.
· Conflict with the police and our mother.
· Conflicts involving other persons and our mother.
The court case involved the possibilities of eviction and imprisonment. We were fortunate to attend the court case and got some positive news that there was a change of heart; the imprisonment and eviction were put on hold.
We witnessed the arguments between our mother and the neighbors a couple of times. During my duration, the police arrived at least 2 times. I was interviewed by the police on 2 occasions.
We had a few arguments and disagreements of our own due to our differences in opinions on a few matters, to include the behavior and mindset of our mother.
I must add that on my leaving England, in my opinion, my mom a was in a better frame of mind than when I arrived.
Just to add that, we encountered some issues with the apartment that resulted in discomfort. There was a broken toilet that was addressed. A leak in the bathroom that was also rectified. The water in the kitchen sink was draining extremely slow and this affected us severely. This situation lasted in excess of a month.
