My Open Letter To The World
Mervelee Myers Journey From Student of the Year to Assaulted in my Home and Criminalised at Walworth Police Station after I was Handcuffed and Taken Partially Clothe
Nelson Mandela “The purpose of freedom is to create for others”. My sister-in-law told me I have found comfort in Books and writing from I was young. My passion for writing was developed from hearing my father telling stories about his family. The first book my father bought me was a Bible. He was a Christian and a Storyteller, so there is no surprise I passed Bible Knowledge with credit before leaving Primary School. I was prepared for the examination by the Principal of the Primary School, who is my mother’s family. However, the foundation was laid by my father who was a Preacher and started his Sunday School at our home when I was young. There is more to that story as my father was ex-communicated from the Townhead Baptist Church because at the time he refused to adhere to their rules of segregation. My father celebrated with all denominations and this was not accepted by the church. I remember that my father made it his business to attend my mother’s church Baptism, taking me along on his bicycle. I must thank my father for my Christian upbringing because as a child, I used to say if my father passed a dog on the road, when travelling to the baptism, he would say good morning. Little did I know that I would be judged by others for my values and beliefs, especially the last six years after the death of my mother, who sacrificed so much for us. I must document before I forget that I did not feel welcome at the local Baptist Church my mother attended and which is part of my history. Because of the changing fortunes of my family which led to the poverty and trauma which affected me as an only girl. However, after hearing my mother’s story when I was home in January 2014 for my son’s wedding and months before I said my final goodbyes to her, days before her ninety birthdays. I was empowered to write a Eulogy/Remembrance that got an ovation in the church I did not feel I belong. I was back in 2018 to sing a song I adopted from a Chorus at my son’s grandmother who told me my mum’s story funeral. I must write a story about the Friendship of my mother and my son’s grandmother that lasted a lifetime. Because my friend and I have continued the tradition. I will cover more about how some do not want the purpose of freedom to create for others and will join forces to make others become victims. Because I became that victim two times after experiencing bereavement and losses in toxic work environments. The first time I was able to pick myself up and start all over again. It is ironic that after withholding my FILE after the death of my mother when I was forced to resign with the second nervous breakdown my former employer London Early Years Foundation (LEYF) claim not to have any data for me.

Who Is Mervelee Myers
Let me tell you a little about myself so the reader might begin to get an understanding about the writer. I consider myself to be blessed because I inherited traits from my Ancestors who am still discovering at www.ancestrydna.co.uk. But closer to home am my mother and father in the same body and am even prouder now of who I am before my life was revealed to me. I must put on record that the advice of Dr Laura Crawford of www.healthmanltd.com to seek CBT to find out why I react the way I do to certain situation when LEYF breach the contract I signed was the beginning of me getting the support I needed for my Hidden Disabilities. Then getting counselling at www.slam-iapt.nhs.uk and participating in Mental Health Research http://www.radar-cns.org/ helped me to make up for the lost years of my Hidden Disabilities. Studies and working in the Early Years Sector from 1999 to when I was forced to resign with the second nervous breakdown helped me to understand more about my “Personal Challenges”. I must document that my “Personal Experiences” from the time my youngest sibling was born and me having shared responsibilities as an only girl is responsible for helping me develop the coping mechanisms needed to survive and later break the cycles of poverty that changed my family’s fortunes. Much of my stories are documented in cyberspace and some have refused me access to my intellectual property and using it to discriminate against me. While others like LEYF are benefiting from my Copyright, building BRAND, and making money. My Journey of Discovery Begins
I will start my story when I attended my Housing Association www.hfw.org.uk Housing for Women Annual General Meeting at Westminster Abbey in March/April 2013 after leaving work. I am the sort of person who is dedicated to a fault and that is why I take my responsibility to Safeguarding everyone seriously. I am positive I averted a Grenfell Tower at mine and my neighbour’s premises when I had to raise concerns about gas pipes to be installed in our flats to go to other flats. The fact that I have no control about the gas pipes was a major concern. In the end I must make contact about the exposed gas pipes at the entrance to the flats. In light of the Grenfell Tower Inquiry www.assets.grenfelltowerinquiry.org.uk/inline-files/M… and the role of http://judicialconduct.judiciary.gov.uk delaying tactics in responding to my complaint about HHJ Parfitt. After the fiasco at Central London County Court involving https://www.39essex.com/barrister/samantha-jones who was represented by Mr Bradley of www.womblebonddickinson.com/legal I was ordered to pay £17,000.00 for LEYF and cohorts to destroy 28 years of my life. Instead of being appreciated for applying studies and training to my roles as EYFS Coordinator, SENCO, and Multigenerational Working Approach Facilitator, I am viewed as threats to employers that kept me in my place so I cannot advance in my career. Because I was asked at Walworth Police Station by Sergeant Patel if I have a British Passport after a wrongful arrest. Anyway, I call myself a “Social Butterfly” and the events and occasions I attended were good for getting involved in “Communities of Practice”. Little did I know I was destined to be in the company of a woman who would be creating history and making all Jamaicans and black people across the Globe proud. The same way we celebrated having the first Native Governor General of Jamaica coming from Grange Hill, Westmoreland, Jamaica WI. I will revisit to tell of my Family’s link with Grange Hill.
My Great Grandparents were Land Barons
If I knew what I know about my mother’s family what my father told me about his family, I would not be struggling to piece my Chambers Legacy together. Despite making use of Ancestry, I have not come up with much. The difference with my parents were, my father was a Storyteller, but my mother did not talk much about her life than sporadically. Therefore, I do not think we valued much of her sayings as we ought to. I am certain that mum did regrated her father walking away from his family’s wealth, but like the dutiful daughter she was, accepted his decisions. Mum told me three stories to give me an understanding of her losses and it was much later, when I delve into my history that I made the connections of why mum was the person who sacrificed her life for her family and anyone who needed her support. Am proud saying I am exactly like her, except I wear my heart on my sleeves, cry, write and talk about the injustices that break individuals and families if we decide to take a stance against discrimination. Mum’s stories went back to her family’s wealth, the Spanish Jar aka Panya Jar and her missing digit. Maybe I should write about mum’s stories in a separate episode. One of my regrets was not paying attention to mum when she was talking about who she was related to. But my knowledge about her relationship with Rev Rose grandmother, Ms Fran Desport is part of my legacy.
Whilst Rev Rose was regaling us with stories about her upbringing, I identified with her in many ways. Hearing her talking about having a crepe, some called it puss boot, crepe soles, or bugger (bugga), it amounts to the same. The difference is due to which Parish you grow up. My memory is about how my Primary School Teacher Ms Una Perry taught me to develop resilience from an early age, and not let anything stop me from achieving my goals. This is a glance about how I was able to perform at Church with my school for the Christmas Concert. My teacher advises me to wash the peep toe crepe, come to school barefoot so I could have it to wear for the concert. I was able to take my place with my classmates and perform to the best of my abilities. I guess this helped shape my life to become the person who is kind to others? Only thing is some have taken advantage of me, taking my kindness for weakness including former employers and even family and friends. My teacher is living in the UK and years ago when we meet by chance at the airport coming back from Jamaica. She remembered I was a bright little girl, but not the story about the crepe. Whenever, I seen her I am always asking for a photo, she always have an excuse, I never got that photo. But I have my memories of how she helped me become the person I am. Once more the adage “It takes a village to raise a child” applies to me growing up in poverty and not accepting giving up as an option, despite the challenges.
Another important fact I learned from Rev Rose was she was going home, to Jamaica to interview her mother. Because she was writing her autobiography. The fact she said she was from Montego Bay St James means I was not that keen about her family connections as if she was from St Elizabeth and Westmoreland. But I was in for the biggest surprises of my life when we were queuing for the bathroom and she asked me where I am from. When I told her am from Townhead, she said her grandmother is from Burnt Savannah. However, her next statement was like a bolt of lightning she said “Dockey is my cousin” and that is when I realised her grandmother is Ms Fran Desport who is my mother’s cousin. But because of my upbringing I was not one to go about bragging about my links with others. Because of how Rev Rose conducted herself, telling me to take photos of her, and acting as if she was one of us impressed me. I started following Rev Rose career from then. It is important meeting in person to get to know how we treat each other. I was privilege to be in the company of Rev Rose at Jamaican events or when she officiated at ceremonies in her role as Bishop.
My Early Years in Jamaica
I must write a brief resume about my early years and my family’s links with Rev Rose’s family. As stated, before mum was always talking about her relationship with others, but I am not sure if my choice, she hardly spoken about her immediate Chambers family, except for a few pertinent facts. I was left to discover certain fact about my family by chance, like you will discover about Rev Rose aunty. I came home one day to see Raymond Hall at my home, only to be told that he is mum’s first cousin. I was in shock because I used to see him visiting people and he had never been to my home. I cannot recall him visiting when my father was ill. I was home on holidays when I attended a funeral with mum for one of her relatives. Her cousin’s daughter a Doctor take part and I was disappointed that she did not come to acknowledge my mother. That is why I am/was so appreciative that despite her status, Rev Rose takes time to talk to people and she was proud declaring to the world who are her family.
The Chambers-Desport-Nembhard Connections from Westmoreland Jamaica
I grow up knowing who my relatives are especially on my father’s side, because dad wanted us to know our history. But of greater importance he did not want us to be like him growing up in a dysfunctional family. The information I must share is the lesson I learned about teasing or making fun of others. I was attending Frome Secondary School when my friends and I were in the group teasing people as children do. I got home from school one day and this lady was at my home and Mama Lou introduced her as Cousin Eula Desport who was home from England. I was mortified because I had teased this lady, but luckily, she did not realise we were teasing her, or if she did, did not recognize me. Arrangements were made for me to visit Cousin Eula who lived near the school, I attended. The lesson I learned about being kind to others have lasted throughout my lifetime. That is another reason for writing and making my life an “Open Book” to support others.
Empowerment Knowing my Family
I attended Frome Secondary School with Heather aka Rose Brown a first cousin of Rev Rose. She migrated to the USA and is deceased, like Dockey who remained in Jamaica. Rose Brown’s mother Ms Babsy have a son with my father’s Pardy, Mr Harding and I went to school with the Fergusons who are family of Rev Rose grandmother. There is a saying where am from that some are double related. I was warned by mother if I ever got involved with her family what are the consequences regarding inbreeding and inherited genetic diseases. My arguments for not having double family is the fact my father was from St Elizabeth. But that did not stop my family having Royalty, because four of my Aunties have children with Salmon brothers. I must say am proud that I am aware of Rev Rose down to earth approach and her humanity to others. Otherwise, I would not know of my connection to her family. Coming to the UK I meet Mr Rudolph Crooks who was in a relationship with Ms Eula Desport-Walker. Since doing my research I discovered I have Crooks in my family, and I want to know if we are related. The COVID-19 put restrictions on me as I have been affected by the imposed lockdown. But I have been denied my entitlement after two miscarriages of justice https://www.gov.uk/employment-tribunal-decisions/ms-m-myers-v-london-early-years-foundation-2300047-2016 left me a victim.

Abstract
Within democratic societies, counter-terrorism is almost exclusively about crime prevention. A broad an holistic approach to preventing terrorism can be based on nine preventive mechanisms: building normative barriers against terrorism, reducing radicalisation and recruitment, deterrence, disruption, incapacitation, protecting vulnerable targets, reducing benefits to terrorists, reducing harm and facilitating disengagement from terrorism. Counter-terrorist policies which are only based on a narrow range of repressive mechanisms and military measures tend to become overly heavy-handed, producing serious negative side effects which serve to enhance the problem rather than reducing it. A more holistic approach, making use of the entire range of preventive mechanisms, may lighten the impact of the “hard” measures by relying more on the impact of the “softer” and more positive measures to build moral barriers, reduce recruitment, and facilitate exit from terrorist movements.
Because like the Windrush Generation BLACK People are victims of Rules of Law used to trap vulnerable people like MERVELEE MYERS to be labelled, stereotype and victimized until we accepted to become the www.hctgroup.org Impact Report 2016 statistic of 1 in 5 of all suicides are associated with unemployment. I was refused the chance to do the studies despite completing the volunteering I was advised to do. I begged www.icsouthlondon.co.uk to publish my story “On balance a happy ending” 28 May 2004. I was treated like a criminal by the Banks and the Police until the Press published my story. If I did not have a British Passport the Police would have ignored me each time, I contacted Walworth Police Station about concerns. Therefore, Sergeant Patel asking me if I have a British Passport after a wrongful arrest on 30/11/2020 amounts to discrimination on all grounds. There is also the matter of discrimination of the “Protected Characteristics” of the Equality Act 2020.
I signed a Contract with Westminster Children Society on 7/10/2009 which was not updated in line with the Equality Act 2010. Yet www.leyf.org.uk claim they have no data for me and the HMCTS can continue discrimination with the ET/EAT Judgments despite me using Subject Access Request – Data Protection Act 117119. My first Data Protection Access was at Brixton Police Station in 1998.

I was sent to the HOC Nursery to be colonized after raising concerns about my Mental Health on the eve of Mothering Sunday 2015 when I realised the magnitude of the allegation like what happened at Kings College NHS Foundation Trust after the death of my brother.
I was escorted out of HOC Nursery on 27/3/2015 the manager claiming Security is High and I did not have a Pass.
