I am happy with the person I turn out to be in 2019. I never once thought that giving up was an option. My grandmothers didn’t neglect their duties to families. My mother more so is an example to the world about what it was like to deal with anything that life throws at you. I am privilege and proud to have had my mother who taught me, without me realising, how to treat people with dignity and respect. It does not matter, one’s status in life, we are all human beings with similar needs to that of the Maslow Hierarchy of Needs. Sometimes I have to feel sorry for missing out by not knowing my mother as I should have. However, I refuse to beat myself up for matters over which I have no control. I am therefore making sure to set the record straight by creating the legacies with the opportunities I was given on Social Media platforms from 2009 to date…

Taking my Inspiration from the Opportunities I was afforded during my time in the UK 1992- 2019 has resulted in my cyber footprints established at https://www.google.com. However, before that, I have to count my blessings that I worked as a Contract Cleaner in London. This allowed me to meet people from all walks of life, in preparation for realising my purpose in becoming a student. I attended Lambeth College 1997-1999 and graduated with a Student of the Year Awards. Despite my potentials identified and the advice to go to university, I got to attend acc-gen@open.ac.uk years later. I still recall to this day the advice I was given that a good Nursery Nurse should make use of a camera, a computer/laptop, a printer, and laminator. Back then I did not have access to a digital camera.
I made use of every opportunity and although when I started out as a student, I have no ICT knowledge. But I learned over the years to harness my skills and by the time I was transferred to Luton Street, I already learned lots from taking an open-minded approach to enhancing my knowledge. I was instrumental in achieving some accolades at Luton Street from April 2010 to when I transferred to BIB on the 23rd July 2014. As the EYFS Coordinator, SENCO and Multigenerational Working Approach Facilitator, I brought many first to LEYF. I got published in the www.nurseryworld.co.uk and represented LEYF at several consultations on behalf of Leaders and Management. Teenage brother and sister killed escaping. If my son had started a family from he got married I would be the grandmother of a 23-year-old. My only granddaughter will be 15 years old on 5th May 2019. I have lost out on 5 years of my sons and grandchildren life. I have had an addition to my family this year.
