Case Study as EYFS Coordinator, SENCO and Multigenerational Working Approach Facilitator at LEYF Luton Street Community Nursery from April 2010 to 222 July 2015. When I transferred to BIB Southwark on the 23 July 2014. This was where I was to experience the discrimination which ruined my career and emotional health and wellbeing. After returning from burying my mother and transferring back to South London. Where I last worked in 2009, as a result of the fact I had a nervous breakdown after the death of my brother from Colon Cancer in 2008. On the 27^th February 2019, I am taking my Fight4justice to another level.

I was interviewed in my home in 2010 after I was transferred to Luton Street Community Nursery. This was the result of bullying, harassment, and intimidation at Fitzrovia Community Nursery before the Probationary Period by Maria Jose Goncalves mjsfgf@hotmail.co.uk. Instead of dealing with my concerns the Area Manager Maria Freeman maria@leyf.co.uk decided to plague me. Until my traumas were triggered. I was rescued by a former colleague whom I had worked with, out of Lambeth College in 1999.

I am gobsmacked finding out that Joelle Lax no longer works in the Early Years Sector. She has become another victim of LEYF. That’s why I am having issues with www.express.co.uk who I reported to about the impact of discrimination that is affecting the Mental Health of employees. New technology to help people with dementia comes to Southwark

27 February 2019

The Fred Francis Day Centre is the first facility in Southwark to install the Tovertafel, a Dutch invention that provides stimulating activities and games for people with dementia.

Translated to ‘The Magic Table’ in English, the Tovertafel turns a standard table top into an interactive game thanks to animations projected on the surface which users can play with by moving their arms and hands. Players respond to the projected lights, which in turn respond to their movements.

The games are designed to provide physical, mental and social stimulation for people in the mid to later stages of dementia. The games focus on the primary outcomes of play: sensation, relaxation and reminiscence as well as being designed to be played in a group to bring people together.

The games are designed to be inclusive of everyone with no winning or losing and with no rules to remember; a simple wave of the hand often being all that is needed to participate in the game.

The Tovertafel installed at the Fred Francis Day Care Centre also comes with the Tovertafel UP games package, specifically designed for those with learning disabilities. These games are designed differently, and feature a sense of progression, added complexity and levels as well as greater sensory stimulation.

As well as encouraging physical and mental activity the Tovertafel also helps players have fun together and with their families and carers in a safe environment.

Cllr Jasmine Ali, Cabinet Member for Children, Schools and Adult Care said: “This is a really fantastic piece of equipment that will bring a lot of enjoyment to visitors to the centre. The great thing about the Tovertafel is it brings people together to have fun while still being mentally stimulating. The Tovertafel really feels like the next generation of care. Dementia can be a difficult thing to live with and if the Tovertafel can bring some fun and happy memories then I am incredibly proud that Southwark Council has been able to bring this to them.”

I realise how dementia had robbed me of mama, even though I diagnosed her condition hearing about her behaviours. The same way diabetes and other complications rob me of my grandma, who died of a broken heart. My dad and gran died a month of each other in 1980.

The Impact of Childhood Traumas

My life was blighted as a result of sicknesses, disabilities, etc. that led to the poverty that I grew up in. Being an only girl did not help my situation, as I had no one to share those intimate moments with. My mother was not educated to know and she was just too busy caring for her family. I learned via counseling that mama might have experienced Mental Health Conditions as a result. I failed to reach my potentials. I regress from being the Tom Boy, growing up in a male-dominated household to a shy nervous wreck. My Friend from Childhood

I was friends with the bloke who told me about the birds and bees, once I stopped long enough from running to listen to him. My mother told me not to let any man/boy touch me when I started my period. But I misconstrued what mama meant when she put the fear of men into my head. By the time he left to join the Army, we were an item. My life was to change forever when I decided that I would live up to the old fashion values and principles my parents brought me up with. I decided no one would take advantage of me and reported a bloke who done, to his mum, for his sexual advances.

Instead of getting support everyone turned on me and called me a liar. My boyfriend and I were no longer an item because he chooses not to believe me.

Searching for the Love from my Father

In searching for the kind of love I had from my father, I misguidedly got involved with an older man who was kind to my mum. But it did not last long because my brother found out and told me he was married. I got involved with a bloke, and because mum warned me about pregnancy was weary. He reassured me I would not get pregnant because of the position we were having sex. But before too long I was and did not finish school. Because I decided not to have an abortion for reasons that would cause me more hurt than having my child, I faced rejections. I was isolated throughout my pregnancy by him and I guess that made matters worse. That’s why I owe it to myself to help others by sharing at https://fight4justiceadvocacy.business.site.

Becoming a Mother and Informal Carer

I am positive that my dad must have to be the happiest, helping me in looking after my son. When he was misdiagnosed with multiple disabilities and I faced stigma, dad reassured me about my family DNA, with delayed speech. Luckily for me, I learned to deal with disappointments, poverty, etc, from an early age. My Primary School Teacher taught me how to develop resilience. This was to be my saving grace, finding early intervention strategies to help me cope. For me, giving up was not an option www.ancestrydna.co.uk/. My Secondary School advises me to go back to studies and try again. But just as I applied for Teacher’s College, I got pregnant again. My first love decided that he did not believe in abortion. Most of this is in cyberspace, as I choose to make my life an Open Book to help others.

Because I only learned yesterday that my sister was called Pinky. We, Balis and I were chatting about Mass Roland Henry and his family of course and about Pinky’s accident. And the death of Piny’s sister, Wanda. I never go to Jamaica and not visit Ms Bernice and Mass Roland back in the days. FB 10: I am #right, GanGan did not come back out of her house after she poured #talcum powder on Uncle Terah… It was only after getting counseling that I realised the extent of the traumas that had affected my life from the time my dad was stricken with Parkinson’s disease. To compound matters, my Uncle Dudley was murdered (chopped up) in his yard, on a Sunday morning in 1976. At the time I was pregnant with my first child. Two (2) years later in 1978, my Uncle Terah was brutally murdered (shot) at his home. By gunmen who had their own motives. My brother Ashter was there and bear the brunt of been brutalised. That’s why it impacted on me how he was left to take the law into his own hands. He did what he thought he had to do and waited in the church for the Police. FB 11: I was not the last to see Papa #alive. Balis was with him when he was #traveling home to glory… I can still recall some of the conversations with my brother Ashter when dad was ill for those years. Creating the Legacies

I am continuing with my duty of creating the legacies especially since I was denied my entitlements of having a job. I told Dilys Epton when she visited me at HOC on the 27/3/2015 about my childhood of deprivations. Because of the circumstances of my family over which we have no control. I informed her that work keeps me going and that I had self-referred before when allegations were made against me. I am hoping my families and in particular, my sons will spare the time to read my writings. Because they need to know these facts. To stop history repeating itself in the future. It’s time for the family to break these cycles of detriments that are not good for anyone. I know my parents believed in the sanctity of marriage and have played their roles in leaving their legacies for us to continue laying foundations. I am accepting of every single person and the choices they make about their lives. Because I have my own views about how I want to live my life.

I refuse to interfere in the lives of others. But at the same time, I expect to be afforded some respects for the contributions I have been making to helping others to have positive outcomes in life. But the way I am getting treated by some of my family is the reasons that trolls, naysayers, bad minded and grudgeful people can stay one side and thinking they can take liberties with me. Then they try to use my sons as a weapon. I will tell them now, I am ready to separate myself from my sons if I am going to be hindrance into their making progress in their lives. Some people are treating me like I am not my son’s mother. But I have been living with rejections all my life. I am strong enough to take whatever it is life throws at me.

Maybe that’s why I am ending by saying what my aspirations are for the future. I don’t want to end up like my mum with a lonely life. She wanted companionship but was not able to get it from the person whom she cared about. That’s why in the end she forget about her only daughter. But not the man who captured her heart even before my dad was dead. Knowing of the relationship my parents shared, I am almost positive dad gave mum his blessings. Now I am crying because I am a cry baby. Because mum never got to share the kind of love she had with dad with Mass Victor aka Clement Baker. That’s why I know there are different levels of love to be shared amongst individuals.

I am grateful for all the love I have had. But at times I am wishing there is someone there just to hear me talk about my fears. And to reassure me that everything will be okay. Now Is The Appropriate Time To Take Back Control Of My Life

I have been deliberating lately about how I am going to get out of this rut that I found myself in after the death of my mother. More so over the past week resulting from yet another rejection after trying to get back into society where I can be contributing to building communities. Young People don’t necessarily develop a sense of wrong from right, no matter how they are brought up with old fashioned values and beliefs, until much later. However, it is down to the individual to begin to take on the responsibility that comes with coming of age. The first was whilst attending Primary School, someone dared me to do something that we thought was innocent fun. My friend circle was involved in teasing this lady that we would meet on our journey to school. One day I got home from school and this lady was at my home. It later turned out that I was the beneficiary of this lady’s generosity as I would sometimes go to her home where I was the recipient of a meal. I could not let my parents know my shame of teasing this lady. From that day, I never do any such thing again. However, I did understand why I could have joined in tease another person.
